racing harness?
You can use racing harnesses with just about any seats. The two holes in the headrest for the evo seats are specifically made for harness straps to pass through. What will the harness be used for?
I hope you're not planning on using harnesses to replace the stock belts for normal daily driving use. Harnesses are not made for daily driving needs, and is potentially more dangerous on the streets if you get into an accident. Only use them while at the track, or unless you have a full cage. Other than that, I really like the Schroth Rallye 3 & 4.
The schroth belts I mentioned bolts onto the existing belt connections, so you wont need a harness bar. Having said that, you might want to consider the harness bar as mentioned above if you go with any other style belts that require eye-bolts and such.
no im using the racing harness for track days and the stock seat belt for daily use
if use the harness the bolt onto to the existing belt connections do i have to remove the stock seat belts?
sorry guys but i have no idea racing harness but i want to do this right

If you get the Schroths that I mention, you can leave your stock belts in place for normal usage. A few of my friend have them in their car for that exact purpose. Another reason I like about the Schroths is that the rear disconnects so you could still have back seat passengers.

If you've ever used harnesses before, notice you cannot move around freely while driving on the street, e.i. freely turn to check blindsides, etc. Can't also duck if something is flying at you. The track is alittle different, you dont have to worry who's behind, there's no lanes to change, etc. And track cars usually have cages, so no need to duck in accidents. You also cannot have backseat passengers if you have harnesses. Hope you get the point!

The best belt to use is a racing waist belt in combination with the stock 3 point. If you use 5 point racing belts without a roll bar/cage you are committing suicide if the roof should collapse! You will be held in the seat while you are crushed to death. Using a lap belt holds you in the seat well while driving and the 3 point stock belts will allow you to move over the center console if the roof fails. Just be glad you are in a Evo which has a much stronger roof than a BMW.

Also If you don't mount the belt right you can break your collar bones. The top straps need to stay level with your shoulders.
The shoulder straps cannot go lower than 45 degrees as it can cause compression of the spine during impact. It also should be parallel at its highest point, as mention in the post...that why I dont like those bars that people install. Also, it is also not a good idea to have back seat passengers if you have those harness abrs installed.
