how safe is my car from theives??

After reading about some peoples things gettng stolen, i am a little nervous myself. Do people steal evo's a lot? My old 2000 civic si electric blue was stolen from my house when i was in chicago. The *******s drove it through my chain link fence! I know that people steal hondas which is why i dont drive a honda anymore. I go to the local community college where i know people have jacked hondas from the parking lot. I am scared to even leave it anywhere? What should i do? I guess a really good alarm would be a start?

I wouldn't be worried so much about thieves, the focus is more on vandals...But an alarm is an excellent deterrent for both scenarios

You don't really need the starting aspect of the SmartStart, but what I like is the fact that it will push notifications to you if something goes wrong with the vehicle. Like, the alarm goes off, the motion (impact) sensor triggers, or anything along those lines. You can also arm it and let it run for a little to act like a turbo timer after long runs. Installed it yesterday. Cool little toy, works great and keeps my car warm in the winter.

I am moving to Miami in a few months for graduate school, so hopefully it will help out in preventing thieves.

they are alot harder to steal than hondas, i would get a good alarm with pager, but if someone wants you car bad theyll even tow it to get it,seen that happen before

+1, protected by glock biiiaatch!

I live in the country so I consider myself under the radar for theft because I do not own or drive a mustang or a 4x4

Its like driving a beater civic in Beverly Hills, no one gives it the time of day....I love it!

Get an alarm, I gots a viper, never had a problem with it.

PS - If someone wants your car or whats in it bad enough, they will get it regardless of the precautions you take. Professional car thieves laugh at our little alarm toys, but at least they help us sleep at night

Haha, every car guy needs the 3G's: a gun, a garage and a big *** guard dog.

ha ha evos don't seem to be taken all the time. You're best theft deterrent is a garage and an alarm....A few years back, I heard some good advice and I'll pass it on. Go to Barns & noble and buy a book on infections. leave the book on your dashboard or your front seat--really anywhere in plain sight--and I'm sure nobody will touch your car
