Greddy type S BOV
Greddy type S BOV
OK so i had an HKS SSQ BOV on my evo 8, and every talks about drivability issues, and i swapped on my BOV that came on it, which was a Greddy Type S, but there are 2 difference nipples to put the small vacuume line on to which im not sure which is right and i dont know how to properly adjust the top nut on it. I am tuned and have a cone filter with a TBE if that helps. Im pushing 23PSI. OH and btw, i noticed a HUGE difference in drivability just by swapping the BOVs. Wow. Please get back to me ASAP im scared to drive it, cuz it keeps blowing sequencial, and never solid. Its getting dark hurry please!
Or if your around the Norco,Corona area and could show me, thatd be awesome.

u put the hose on the nipple that sticks straight out, not the one thats slanted
then ur just gonna have to play with the screw to adjust it as needed...i dont keep mine very until unless im racing

Blows off then whistle, do single spring mod, then take the adjustment screw all the way out, then start tightning it again, when you feel the first contact, turn it 5 turns and your good, I have the same exact one
your better of turning it 2 full turns after the contact
Put the hose on the top nipple, as far as adjusting it... you have to loosen the nut and then start turning that stud with an allen key. For 23lb of boost i would suggest that you have about 4-5 threads sticking out after the nut, but the best way to adjust it is ti pressurise the system to your normal boost setting with a boost leak tester and then start loosening the stud until you start hearing a leak from the bov. Once you hear it, just turn the stud back half a turn to a turn to tighten it. Hope that helps.
Well i mean i want it do be adjusted just right for all driving conditions, cuz i dont plan on it when i run into some guy who wants to race, im not gonna jump outta my car and pop the hood and tighten my BOV lol. so is the 5 turns the good suggestion?? And also, my car feels like it has NO power compared to when i had the HKS on there, is that just because i might have a boost leak or do i have to get it retuned??
