Hey all,

New to these boards, hoping to learn something! I'm an ex-pat living in Shanghai and I just got my Evo 9.

Have dreamed of a car like this since I first learned about them playing Gran Turismo on the very first playstation and so, many years later, here we are.

I've ridden plenty of fast motorbikes before, done a few track days on them, but never had a proper sports car. My last car was Front wheel drive and only had 150 hp, so stepping into the Evo felt.......alien.

It allmost feels like driving a big cart, but then I hit the boost and being new to this, it feels absolutely savage!

Gonna take it slow, as it didn't take me long to plant a sportsbike in a tree when I first started riding.... Anyway, would appreciate any help on learning to get a feel for the car and becoming smoother.

congrats man! I seriously wonder how many car enthusiasts gran turismo created back in the old playstation days. I know a number of people who own the cars they really loved from that game. Great stuff. Be safe and have fun!

Congrats! Yeah pics pls hehe. Cool you live in Shanghai. I've been there a couple of times. Unfortunately there's not too many tuner/jdm cars there.

Not sure about the rims yet. And I originally thought I would prefer black, but now I think red is actually really appropriate.

CE, I went to Manila last year, saw lots of good cars, but the roads are...pretty bad. Shanghai roads r ok, but traffic is horrible, gonna have much more fun at night.

Now I need to make my through the requests list as everybody who knows I bought it wants to go for a spin....sigh. Funny how most of my male friends dream of a car this, but few actually seem to go through with it.
