New atlien here
been on here ever since i sold my 05 sti and just now decided to post. i am looking into an 06 mr evolution thats at a dealership and everything looks good with the car besides one thing. i spoke to the previous owner and he said that all the tires wear on the inside. he took it to an alignment shop and still said it wore like that. carfax says no accidents and the previous owner said he never wrecked it.
so is this a characteristic of the car? anyone ever experience a problem like this? did you fix it if so?
or do you think the car has been wrecked? just kinda funny that he said ALL tires wear on the inside?
thanks for the help

Does the car have aftermarket rims? More importantly is the car lowered? Lowering your Evo without a camber adjustment will lead to inside wear. If the evo is stock height and rims then I do not think it should wear tires on the inside. Mine doesnt. Anyways shout out to another peep in the ATL! Welcome and good luck.
The car just needs an alignment and new tires. Check out the wheels and make sure they are good condition too. Also, check out the suspension and tire rods, etc.
It seems unlikely that the car was in an accident and all four wheels got damaged, just does not add up. Besides there would be no reason for the previous owner to deceive you because he is not selling it, the dealer is.

) in my lancer ralliart any never damaged all 4 wheels. All I need on the car is an alignment, a tie rod, and a new rim.
Are you talking about the AS one at Rick Case? Inside tire wear is normal for the Evo, but an alignment should fix it though.

this one is in pa at dean chevrolet. i think they are giving me a good deal, 20,100 for the car. it only has 35k on it but i cant see it in person, so i think i might pass on this one too.
i traded my sti in for that one. got the car back to the house and was driving it and noticed a noise everytime i turned right above 40 mph. took it to my buddy's shop, got it up on the lift and saw where the frame had been punched in. rear sway bar was pushed over an inch. so i went back up there and got my sti back. and also was able to put on the comments on that carfax everything that was ****ed up on it, hoping the next buyer would see it and not buy the car from those sheisters.
just called the dealership and told them i dont want it. someone go look at this car thats local, might be a good pickup. i just need to be able to see a car first before buying it. especially when they're selling it for cheaper than most on the internet
Yes, it was mine. The rear swaybar should have been fine though. It wasn't on the car at the time of the accident. BTW that's exactly why you should never believe anything you see on Carfax. I could never figure out why it made that sound when turning the steering wheel to the right. Everything else was fixed after the accident though.
