New Evo driver

I just bought a brand new 2010 GSR a few weeks ago. I've been a huge evo fan (see my reg date) since the Evo IV days but never actually driven one till now. This is also my first manual car and having just clocked 1000 miles I'm feeling pretty confident.

Just a couple things that I've noticed and concerned about: Shifting into 2nd and 3rd sometimes feels like its grinding. Its hard for me to describe but its just not smooth sometimes even having the clutch fully pressed. Is this something that I should worry about? I haven't dogged out the car and have driven it carefully but have stalled it in learning to drive it.

Another thing is that in 5th gear on the highway sometimes it feels like the power bogs/hesitates. Like the turbo cuts out or something. It doesn't happen every time but usually its between 2k and 3k rpm.

I'm loving the car so far. Not sure what I will do about modding because I don't want to void the warranty just yet. Thanks guys.

That's not normal, you should bring it back to the dealership and have them take a look.

2nd and 3rd is normal on evo 10 since the clutch is garbage, and in fifth gear you prolly feeling some lag, which normal and to get rid of it downshift
