My name is Sean, and Im new to the forums. Im a short time from coming home from a long drawn out deployment, and I've been eyeing several types of cars to buy. A silver 2003 evo stood out to me. I had my buddy go check it out.(He drives a 2005 STI.)

Though it has 80k miles on it, he says it is meticulous. I want him to bring it by a shop to get a multi point inspection so I can have a piece of mind.

The owner says its never been modified, and he is letting it go for 14.5.

What do you guys think?

Anyway, I hope to get some good feedback here and also learn a good bit from the evo itself if I do nd up making the purchase.

Get someone local that knows about evo's to help check it out, unless you can trust someone that might not know the little things that make a difference.

 

Well, my friend says he wants to go get a compression test, he says its a bit sluggish on the top end. I don't know if its just a difference between his STI which is modded, and the stock Evo, but I wouldn't mind getting a compression test.

Where can I find someone in Baton Rouge who knows their Evos?
