Noob question

So my dad just filled up my evo with regular unleaded, then i saw posts about having to pump premium, so I was like DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So just to confirm, always use premium (91) gasoline?
Also did some searching and saw that as long as i dont hit boost i should be fine until its empty then i can fill it up with 91.

ty!

btw it still has like 3/4 of gas should I add octane booster to be safe? kinda agitated about the situation now.

just empty it, i cant remember right this minute where exactly it is but theres a drain plug underneath your car almost infront of your rear tire . locate your gas tank underneath, maybe someone else can chime in

octane booster will NOT do the trick, it would take a Bunch of little octane boosters to do it.

When it says it raises octane by ONE point, its actually a value much smaller. An example is: it wont increase your octane from 87 to 88.

However you could pour a gallon of xylene or toulene in there, id still drive it slow and would never hit boost.

the safest way is to just drain the gas

Pump race gas.

Go to your local - 76 gas station and pump few gallons in and then do NOT pump that nasty 87 **** again. UNLESS you are tuned on that, then go ahead, ha.

octane booster doesnt work, just dont hit boots and you will be ok, then just make sure you only use premium.
