Evo 8 coming soon...

The car is an 03 Apex Silver with 60,000 on it. Friend of mine broke the tranny and for a few different reasons doesn't want to deal with fixing it. He's the original owner of the car. He wants $5,000 for the it (good for me) and its going to cost $850 to get it shipped from LA. Lucky for me TTP is about 5 minutes from my house so I am going to have them do a clutch install and tranny rebuild. All said and done I'm going to pay about $8,500 for an Evo with a built tranny. It also has a full turbo back and an intake. I'll probably just get the car tuned and then work on suspension stuff. I'm excited because I've wanted an Evo or Sti for a while now for a nice daily driver/fun track car. I also own a 93 Z28 Camaro with a cam and other bolt ons but I've been over the drag strip for a while now and I wanted a car that actually goes around corners. The car is getting shipped this Monday and should be at my door about a week later. If all goes well the Evo will be hitting the streets of Orlando in a few weeks.

Hopefully the tranny wasn't the only problem with it. Nice steal if it is only 3,500 for clutch and tranny rebuild.

Just make sure to treat her well, and don't try to race everyone from a stop-light. We get enough bad rep as it is from these young drivers.

Actually the whole reason I'm buying the car is to make money on the street racing from stoplights, I need to find something to pay my way through college! Seriously though I really don't plan on launching the car. I just want to have some fun at an autocross or track event and have a reliable daily driver. Actually I have an S10 for my daily and this is going to be my fiances car...at least that's how I sold her on the idea!

I'm probably going to be stopping by next week to make sure my prices are correct on everything before I drop the car off. Thanks!

Welcome to the world of Evo. Sounds like you found a great deal. Let us know what happens when you get it. Don't become a ricer and buy a BOV for your first mod.
