Question. Im looking at buying this Evo forsale.

Hey everybody I am new to the site and i have a question about an Evo I am looking to buy from a dealer. The car is a 2005 Lancer Evolution VIII and has 57,000 miles on it. The car is silver with a seibon carbon fiber hood and has the cloth recaro seats and no fade on the carbon fiber spoiler. The car does have an injen intake, injen charge piping, HKS turbo timer and a boost gauge all installed very nice. no cob job. I brought the car to a local performance shop (Synapse Turbo) and had them take a look at it. They said the car is all stock except for the mods above and looks unmolested and tastefully modded. They also said that none of the mods will hurt the motor. The car does drive very very nice and no engine noises or ticking even when idling. They will sell it to me for 19,000. The dealer is also putting on four new tires, new brakes and new rotors as well as a fresh oil change Clean carfax as well. Thoughts??????

That all seems pretty good to me, but the car is going to need the 60K service soon

I would have the dealership add it in the deal. Everyone is hurting these days and they need to make the sale.

Yea I called my local Mitsubishi Dealership and they told me that it would be approx $1300.00 to do the 60k service and $240.00 to change all the differential fluids. I am gonna give these numbers to the dealer I am buying the car from and see if they will work with me on the price or include the service in the deal.

Yea I talked to the dealer and I dont think they are going to include the service in the deal. They are changing the spark plugs though that were fouled out. They are changing fluids as well. They said however they will give me a deal like half of what a dealer would charge to install the parts and labor. After all they do work on high end cars like lambo's ect..

If you are getting it, then, just make sure they use the right fluids for the TC diff, trans, etc. if they are doing them.

As for your wife... Good Luck with that one...

I have a customer at my dealer who stores his car with us and drives it for a few hours on the weekend because he didn't tell his wife. i just figured he uses the car with his girlfriend,LOL.

Man... for that much sounds like a good deal. plus it looks bad ***. I know the original owners paid more then that with the light mods and carbon fiber. If I were you I would have gotten too excited and bought of impulse.

Good luck.

bring it to a trust worthy mechanic and have it checked out thoroughly. Cars with mods are usually been raced or abused lol
