Hello everyone Been here for a few weeks and never posted. I just recently bought an 05 Evo 8 25K miles and paid $14500, does have a few issues but still a hell of a deal. Coming from the DSM world after failed builds from a "professional" shop in Houston I was forced to sell my 540AWHP 99 GSX for near nothing due to engine failure after being newly built. I'm hoping to learn from previous mistakes and keep the Evo just running normal and restrain from putting money into it but seems I may have to as the dreaded ACD lights are all on and there is an annoying whine coming from the rear at cruise speeds. I have drained the diff and put in Diaqueen but its still there. Anyways its good to finally get an Evo.

Yeah the bumper is quite gay but man I'm at a point where if its not broke it doesnt need to be fixed, unless i have some money to spare which quite possibly may be never! Yeah I'd like to put an OEM EVO 9 bumper on it.

HA thats the bumper is on there now it got hit in the front and Im guessing that would explain the ACD pump issues. I've been dericing it a bit pulled about 5lbs of freaking audio wires and cables that weren't even plugged into anything and like the other guy the gauges only light up and have no function because they were never hooked up right but will soon be functional.

 

Well wasnt the rear seems it just transfered through the driveshaft. Now why the crap couldnt I find the answer to my whining noise until after the T-Case busted! Looked on Jackstransmissions.com at rebuilds and as soon as I saw the T-case build there it was the death whine and I already knew what they were talking about. AWESOME

 

Always have loved the blue, but definitely get rid of the bumper. I also agree with the transfer case noise get it checked asap!
