Tacho needle 'sticking'

Tacho needle 'sticking'
Hey guys/gals
Weird prob has arisen in my 8mr in the last 2 or 3 weeks. My tacho needle seems to 'sticking' when rising through the rev range. It will pause for half a sec, then rise then pause again then rise again.. doesnt move smoothly at all. Any idea's?
P.S. - My idle is fine and it has no effect on performance. I dont have any mods except a ralliart ecu.
