Exclamation Clutches?

I am going to be doing a tranny swap here shortly and need some suggestions on what clutch to buy or to stay away from. I would love to get an Exedy Twin but dont have that kind of cash lying around right now. I see alot of ACT clutches for sale. Are they any count? The car has what appears to be a Fidanzi currently as it was already installed when I purchased it. I took the inspection plug out to see what color the pressure plate was to give me an idea. The pressure plate is black. The pedal feels a little heavier than a stock clutch. It holds pretty good but I am looking for something a bit more aggressive. I have a IX turbo, E85, TBE, intake, and soon GSC S1 cams. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys

Stay away from ACT, I've never heard anything good about them. Most people will tell you X or Y clutch sucks, when 99.9% of the time, its just because they didnt install it properly or adjust it properly...but in this case, the ACT's really do just suck.

How much were you looking to spend really?

ACT is fine. You said it right there - not installed or adjusted properly. I ran my ACT HDSS for 70k+ worth of racing and over 400 launches.

I'd check out the ACT 6 puck.

So an ACT 6 Puck with HD pressure plate or standard pressure plate? I was also told to only use the stock Mitsu throw out bearing.?

Ya get a new OEM tob for sure. I personally wouldn't go with the ACT but that's up to you ultimately.

MB7-HDG6. And yes, Mitsu TOB. Which, if I remember right, ACT supplies you with.
