If that is the extent of your mods I would run FIC 650's or PTE 680's for injectors, definitely get a Walbro 255, get a stronger clutch when you are ready to replace your 6 speed with a 5 speed. I have no personal experience with cutout's but they sure are loud! LOL

1. PTE 680's or alike, should be fine for your 370-380 hp goals.

2. A Walboro 255 would be a good idea.

3. I'm sure your going to have a few people tell you to get the Exedy HD. Yes, it's a great clutch but as you never launch or race I'll be overkill for you. I would look into ACT clutches.

4. Why do you want a cutout? Because it's loud? If that's the case then stick with it. I have no personal experience with cutout downpipes.

And since you don't race, I'd keep the MR 6-speed. I have a friend in the 500 WHP level with his MR tranny with no issues.

i dont see the point in the cutout but its your car. I also would not buy any act clutch hit or miss. The exedy is the better buy but again at 370-380 its not needed stocker will be fine. you need to get walbro 255 fuel pump for sure. I think the hks 272 were kind of a waste of funds mild cam. should have gone with kelford 272 or s2. yes its a more aggressive cam but better. I would not go below 1000cc injectors you can scale them back but again its all your car build it how you see fit. only other thing besides porting parts would be to change the evo 8 turbo out with at least a evo 9 turbo or a smaller fp green or bbk full for even waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more dd fun.

When I first started modding I went with the HKS 264/272 split and it was fine the HKS 272's where good for about 30whp over my stockers. The six speed CAN be a reliable transmission at those power levels. BJ, a buddy of mine and fellow EvoM member has run as fast as 12.001 and autox on his and it is still holding up just fine. IIRC the 4th gear is actually where Mitsubishi sprinkled some weak sauce. Either way I'm partial to the 5 spd swap. Let me know if I can help you with your build ideas feel free to pm me or email me at jmelocik@yahoo.com

Sure, before you make a purchase...you might want to look our way for a set of injectors. We have our Evo 8/9 injectors in 880cc which should give you a nice comfortable injector duty cycle under 80% and our injectors are 100% drop-in fitment. No cutting of the engine harness required.

It never hurts to buy oversized injectors for what you need, so in the future you can just bump it up
