Where did you find your EVO?

I have been looking for an EVO the past week and cant really seem to find one close to me. I found a dealer or two a few hours away from me and they are asking 20k for an EVO 8 with 80k miles. That seems like a rip off to me. I want to spend about 15k and cant seem to find one around me for that. I found a few in Chicago for that but i really want to test drive an Evo before i go and drive 5 hours to purchase one.

So where did you guys find your Evos?

Went to a dealer and they went out of their way to get exactly what I wanted. 600 miles away.

I called the Mitsubishi dealer on monday and he said he would call me if he found an Evo 8 or 9 or if someone traded one in.

I found one on Ebay yesterday for a really good price but i wanted to check it out in person. I emailed the guy and told him i wanted to check it out and he said he would let me know if no one bidded on it. The ebay listing ended last night and no one bought the car or bidded on it. Hopefully i get a phone call from him soon.

Try craigslist.org. If you were in Ca., there is an '05 Evo with a new short block and head and clutch, etc. at a Dealer for around 20k.

I bought mine in the for sale section for $22k before I saw it in person or even test drove it. I took a real big chance but it turned out to be a really good car.
