Am I kosher?

So I just upgraded my intake/stock IC pipes with the Injen kit. I heard this can increase boost to as much as 23PSI and that the stock fuel pump/tune cannot handle that level of boost with out upgrading. Now since I have an 03 from what I understand the BOV will only only 19PSI before leaking. Does this mean that I will be okay for the time being or should I be concerned still? My next mod that I want to install/purchase are:
1. Evoscan/ECU Flash.(To steal a conservative map until I get wide band ect)
2. AEM tru boost and AEM UGEO gauges.
3. Walbro 255
4. MR BOV
5. 02 sensor housing/downpipe/exchuast cutouts.

Any suggestions/comments?

As a rule of thumb, if the mod makes power, the car needs a tune. The Injen pipes, or any other pipes, don't really do anything at your power level, so you're fine. You're on the right track with Evoscan and EvoFlash, and a IX DV. Get those first along with a fuel pump, a MBC and a wideband. The 02 housing and a cutout won't do much at your power level, either. Regardless, you don't need both. Just get a free-flowing TBE for now. On a VIII, you need a fuel pump, a TBE, a MBC, and a tune. Cams come next. Good luck.

It's number two on the list. you don't think I can run a conservative pre-made tune. I know I couldn't get full potential without a wideband, but I know the stock tune is extremely poor and runs relatively advance timing which I want to retard a little. Especially since I don't know what boost I'm running (already own AEM tru-boost controller/gauge waiting for a pod and Eugo so I can install all at once). I just want to get Evo scan so I can see some of my parameters. I will not even mess with the fuel maps/timing maps before I have the proper gauges uless I can find a really safe pre-made one.

From what I understand the IX fuel pump flows a lot more then the VIII.

Well I would get a TBE, but where I live they really crack down on import's with exhaust. On my DSM I had to get a cut out and I really liked it (b/c I had to many tickets). Obviously you have to have a different tune for closed and open exhaust, but It seems like I can do that with the additions to Evo Scan/Flash with the Trep (can't rember the full name) mod.

So my plan is to get upgraded 02 sensor housing and 3" down pipe and add a y_pipe to the down pipe with a 3" cut out that I control from the dash and have essentially an open exhaust at the down pipe back with a tune for it.

My question is if I put on the MR DV with my injen intake and IC pipes do I run the risk of over boosting my stock fuel set up? Or will I be okay? I plan to upgrade this all ASAP, but I am putting T-bolt clamps on all my IC pipes this weekend and would like to just change out the ****ty BOV for the MR one if I don't run the risk of detonation.

Lastly, I see some 3" downpipes on sale for really cheap on E-bay normally I would never by parts of E-bay, but it is just a pipe I was wondering if anyone has used them before and would recommend them, Thanks.

Don't steal a tune, not only are you taking someone elses intellectual property without paying for it you're taking a huge risk just slapping it on your car and assuming it's good.

I didn't mean literally steal one. From what I understand they have a bunch of tunes posted on the Evo Scan forum that are free to access that list the mods they are tuned for. Granted it is a risk to use someone else tune, but lots of them are rated and have feedback posted for them. When I said steal I meant use one of these.

There is not a "bunch of tunes" posted in the "ECUFlash" forum. We dont have any map database, like the suby kids do.

More so, no one here uses canned or off the shelf tunes or other peoples tunes. Everyone knows you need a custom tune, as every car and combo of mods is different.

I know that to get the most our of my car I need to tune it with Wideband/EGT/Dyno myself, but I thought you could get a rough start using a base tune. I guess I'm wrong.

I have a semi unrelated question. I am going to be putting T-bolt clamps on all my IC pipes this weekend and was thinking about putting the MR DV on while I am at it. I don't have boost control on my car yet nor do I have a 255 fuel pump on it, but will I be okay with the stock fuel set up or will I detonate and overboost the car?

You'll be fine.
