Best Turbo??? what to buy??

I'm about to buy a new turbo and yet have no clue what to get.. I've been looking at the fp green and the 30r but I'm not sure what's the best? M looking for around 400-450 hp but I don't want to get it with pushing a turbo to it's max (incase I want more later.lol) any ideas or suggestions would be great! also I want to know what all I need with that kit!?

Any BB turbo you are looking at $5k or so with supporting mods. I would get a stock frame turbo. For you if you want that power with room to grow (with meth, race gas, etc.) I would get the FP Red.

well with any turbo there will be some lag.

if you want 450whp and a turbo that can do more if one day you decide 2 turn the boost up, then your gonna be looking at some with considerable lag. Its just the name of the game.

here is a link with a dynograph of the " Black" turbo (note this is on c16 42 psi and a 2.3l)

Look up Project White, if you want low lag and still low 10 second 1/4mi times.

It's good that you are considering to upgrade your turbo but have to considered the supporting mods that you should probably have prior? Have you also decided whom you would have tune your car? I would get any many of those little mods out the way before upgrading the turbo if you haven't already. No fun having a better than stock turbo and running around at 19psi when you could be running 25psi and enjoying it a little more with the extra power.

Good luck in your turbo selection

Fp red on pump will produce 450, and no you will not need and engine build forget about the stroker. If you do have it built, I would do it on a 2.0

WOW thats crap information. if your doing nothing but dragging then yes 2.0 2.1. if you want a street monster autox road coursing then 2.2 2.3 2.4 all day and you can still drag it . Ask any shop if your doing more then dragging they will tell you to stroke the motor. to be honest op if your going to stay stock block and only looking for 500 max then you might want to consider getting a HTA GREEN that way you keep lighting quick spool with almost stock like spool but if your shooting for 550+ then fp black or red hands down. ITS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEAL TO BUILD THE MOTOR IF YOU PLAN ON MODDING HEAVY PERIOD.

All true statements.

Stroke it and throw on a stock frame. Red if you want more spool Black if you want a lil more top end.
