What do you guys think of this car?

I'm talking to this guy about the car...he says there are no problems, occasionally drove it fast for fun and tracked it a few times, and starting monday i'll be going out and checking out more cars so i'm thinking i should check this out. just wanted to see what you guys think i'll try to get more pictures as well. Oh and he said he'd do $20,000....maybe i can get him to go even lower i haven't mentioned a price yet.

the rear bumper is suspect...the only JDM rear with a carbon insert that i know of was the crappy Street Concepts fiberglass rear bumper that fit like crap. the other things he's got listed sound okay, but he inflated just about all of the prices. look the car up on www.nadaguides.com for the true value, then you can add what you want for the mods to try to get an idea of what the car actually should be worth. mods don't add much, if any value though. they actually make the car less valuable than when it was stock. anyone that mods a car knows this, so to try to make your money back on a modded car unless it's a race car is stupid. car looks pretty clean, just be cautious.

not sure what the details were on that ride
but just an example:
I just picked up an 03 w/19k on the chassis
14k on the built motor
about 15-20k invested in parts and labor
all for $19,000.00
Normally I wouldn't buy a car this heavily modd'd but I know the guy who currently owns it

I was looking at that also. Overpriced in my opinion.

yes it is overpriced but look at my first post, he said he'd do $20,000. which is a bit less than kbb, and i haven't even mentioned money yet or what i'd pay he just said he'd go to 20, so i bet if i checked it out i could probably talk him down to 18

Probably not 18 because I offered him 18.5 just to see what he says and he said nothing less than 20.

For 18 I would pick it up for sure.
