Newb w/ new EVO MR

Yes, I am a newb, but really, I'm glad to see a place, a forum like this.
I'm such a newb with regards to Evos, mods, perf metrics, etc.

There is so much reading to do here. It's overwhelming. I think I'll actually look for a local group to hang out with. I'm sure I'll learn a lot quicker from interaction than by scanning threads. Still, I will be reading here and there.

I decided, to start out with the most expensive "Stock car", and I got the Lancer Evo MR Touring. Not that I really had a choice, where I live there aren't many choices.

Still, I want to share some photos that I took the night of my purchase.

Nice!

Thx guys! Looks like I missed a meet n greet on May 9 for Albuquerque.
Sadly, I travel too much (by plane for work).. but when I'm close enough to start my car, I will make it out to one.

It's still less than 12 hours since I bought the car, and I'm still full of adrenalin.
On an interesting side note, I did beat a Dodge truck (w/Hemi) that was pushing for a race..

felt so good.

congrats. first thing you should do is sign up for autocrosses, and a track day and learn how to drive the thing. the best mod you can make is the driver mod.

Welcome, how do you like the dual clutch compared to the manual?

Gorgeous car man! What a sweet way to get into the evo world.

My advice....do not mod the car for a while. Get to know the car and enjoy driving it.

Driver mod FTW!
Do you have any recommendations on a place I can go to find an autocross in New Mexico?

I love it. Normal allows me to not have to worry about running the gears too high for too long of periods. Sport allows me to push the transmission harder at the cost of more gas.
And if I really want to, I can also use the magnesium shifters.

Absolutely! Excellent advice.
I just went up to Santa Fe with it and back (from Albuquerque).
My new top speed is 136mph. I'm such a *****, I could've gone faster but, honestly, it's my first time doing a lot of stuff (except weaving in and out of traffic).
