New and with questions

Hey everyone, i recently found a job thats giving me 2k a month. I really love EVOs especially 8-9, and planning on getting one, now i understand theres a lot of procedures in getting a evo from another state, and i dont plan on flying anywhere to get it...basically my question is, if you guys were in my shoes with 2k a month how would you get urself a evo 8 or 9 when no where near you sells it?

so far all i got by myself is getting a bank loan and hopefully find one thats selling from a dealership and have my dealership here ship the car here by paying 12% more...

you live in the states, just make a trip out of it and go get one close by. I had to fly 1400 miles to get my car and then ship it back on a barge :P

You're in the same boat as me except for 2 things. I make a little more than 2k a month and I'm willing to travel to get mine. Far as I can tell, you'll more than likely have to get a loan. At 25k w/ 8.99% for 72 mo, you'll be at like $450/mo. Insurance will vary but read the insurance thread an you'll get a rough estimate. Also you have to be willing to travel if you can't get one from a dealership, which is a pretty good chance. So save some cash and be patient. I've been looking for about 3 months now and have only found one that I thought I might get into and it's about 300mi from me. GL on your hunt

btw living in vancouver... someone told me that the older evos are registered in Canada as mitsubishi lancers not evos is that true?

and would you, if u were in my shoes, be in 25k debt when u JUST turned 20? im very un decisive sorry. bare with me lol

Find one at a dealer talk to them offer what you wanna give. At 20 yrs old making 2k a month i wouldnt go more than 20k honestly but thats your call. As far as getting the car, I found one told them what id give and told them to ship it... I got mine from Alabama and i live in Ohio I only paid 450 to get it here... Fairly easy honestly as long as the dealer is willing to put in the effort... Good luck though!

+1... it'd be pretty bad off for you to only be 20 and have your debt to income ratio already turned upside down. Especially for a car, an amazing car, but still, lol.

Also, I don't know anything about importing and exporting into or from Canada. If you want to know about Supras and Skylines from Japan though, that's a different story.
