SES light problem! Please help!

So I recently got an Evo IX SE...Absolutely wicked car! I love it. I threw a Perrin turbo intake on it then had a really experienced guy reflash the ecu with a more aggressive mivec tune and put a boost controller on it. We turned it up to about 25 psi. Everything was going great until about 2 weeks later. The ses light came on: "P0420 catalyst below threshold" everything else on the car is stock so far. I'm getting soooo frustrated because my tuner is always at the lake and is hard to reach. What do I do!? I want this light off....well, actually I want the problem fixed. Any suggestions/advice?

Get the tuner to disable that in Ecuflash...You will have to get a hold of him, or another tuner. Not really sure what catalyst below threshold means.

Yea that was my first thought, to have him disable the stupid code, because it has something to do with too aggressive of an intake and tune for a stock exhaust. But I think he's about to retire cuz he's ALWAYS at the dang lake and I can never reach him lately. I had a buddy read and clear it for me the first time, but it came back about a week later. So frustrating!

I have a evo 9 also and the monitor for cat and O2 has been disabled. No SES light, but the monitors wont run.

Not sure how is smog like in your state, but if they do that it might be a problem.

The flash can be tweaked to show the monitor ready and no CEL. Have a read through the OBD/Emissions links:
