Help Input Please

Hey guys I am in the market for either an evo 8 or 9. Currently I have been reading up alot on the sti vs evo topic. I havent seen any up to date threads about this so I just wanna start this one to get more current answers. If I do get the evo I will most likely keep it stock apart from the standard mods such as I/H/E. I have been reading that if I do not plan to mod the car very much, the subaru sti would be a more reliable car. Input on this please guys. Thanks.

imo i would get an evo 9 over an sti. The sti has a better drivetrain but imo thats all. I like the evo's appearance , interior , drivability and performance better but thats just my opinion. If you do decide to mod later down the road the evo 9 will respond to mods much better than an sti and plus u wont have to worry about spinning bearings all the time.

If i do get an sti I would get either an 05/06. Factoring in reliability if I keep the cars mostly stock. Which car is more reliable?

If you want to mod the car buy the evo, if you want something to drive around then either car will be fine.

I've owned a 07 STI and recently purchased a 06 EVO.........I would never go back, the evo is much more fun to drive and the handleing is just insane compared to my STI.
