Had my car tuned with an ECU flash and all went well, but tonight I broke one of the nipples of the factory boost solenoid and need to get it sorted for a race this weekend. Can I just buy a manual boost controller and fit that instead of running the factory solenoid and if I do, is there any issues with me running it with the flash tune having been done.

Also, does the EVO 8 have a boost cut built into the ECU so if I set the MBC to high it will just boost cut?

Any help would be great.

 

You can get a mbc and just set it to the amount of boost your car is tuned to. I would suggest a hallman pro or a buschur inline.
