exhaust questions...

So I just got my evo x. I've been tryin to do some research on cattback exhausts. I don't plan on doin a downpipe or high flow cat. I am trying to keep the exhaust under 600. I was looking at the cnt catback but does anyone know if it fits on a stock cat? I know there are threads about exhausts, but they don't say whether or not they will fit a stock catalytic... any input would be great.

Trust me I've thought about the tbe, but this is a daily driver. I've modded heavily a few dsms in the past few years and I'm ready to just slow down my modifying days. But I figure if I do want to buy a downpipe and cat/test pipe down the road I can just add it to the catback.

Honestly with the Minimal gains of a "catback" it woldn't be worth the money spent. If 8-10hp is worth $600 to you. Not to me. If its a DD car, leave it stock and save your money. The OEM exhaust is actually quite good. Its the CAT and downpipe that are restrictive. I am in the process of switching back to an OEM exhaust after 4 yrs of a BR Turbo back. The po po are cracking down on "noisy" cars. BR exhausts aren't known for their quietness. So do yourself a favor, do nothing and wait for QTP to have a set up for the X unless they already do.
