Can't decide on S1s or S2s for my new Hks turbo... any suggestions?

 

S2! No question! This way open the head once and you can just upgrade the turbo later! Their good for almost 800whp in my experience with them! Gsc is the chit! My buddy wanted the kelfords and I ordered him the mivec s2 instead. Their was an personal test done between the kelford 272 and s2 same car same everything! Only change being the cams. The kelfords made more peak horsepower 10or15 more between 8700-8900rpms. But here's the good part, the gscs2 made 35whp more from spool up to the 8700rpm mark! How many people are really revving out that high every shift? I think everyone was caught up in the Evo cam test and peak horsepower numbers. IMO I'd rather have more power threw the whole powerband than just 10 more at the top when I don't take it there that often.

 

Thanks pizzaman I think I'm definitely going with S2s, what springs and retainers are recommended with the S2s?

I have the S2's and they are a badass cam. Replaced my HKS 272's with these and the difference is night and day! Iveytune did all the work and I'm very happy with the results. My Idle is a tad high but no complaints otherwise. (12-1300rpm) The car made 30+whp over the HKS's.
