Greetings, all. Old evo viii owner

Just signed up for the forum, so figured I'd intro myself. I used to be on evolutionforms as obake. I have an almost-stock 03 viii which I bought new, almost 80k on her. I'm doing some maintenance on her since she started acting all Sybil-crazy, so may be asking some (stupid to some of you) questions. Don't worry -- I'll search first.

lol. Still almost stock since I don't track it. Only changes are: tinted windows, cruise control, speakers, amp, head unit. Getting ready to do 60k maintenance (I know, I'm 20k late on it) as soon as parts com in. Replaced plugs yesterday. Will put on GATES racing radiator hose, racing serpentine belt & racing timing belt & balance belt then. Really not looking forward to doing this, since I'm in no way a mechanic. Closest good place to get it done appears to be about 4 hours away, though.

Here's a pic of the baby, at least how she USED to look. Since I took this a few years ago, she's been parked outside for the last 2 years in the southern sun & the wing looks like crap. I need to fix it. And it's got hail dings all over and big scratches/peeling paint on the rear pass side thanks to an idiot that couldn't back up. So she's not kept showroom-pretty anymore.

Welcome man!

Hopefully the timing belt doesn't break, it is an interference engine after all haha

Goodluck with the 60k maintenance!

Thanks, I'm SO going to need it. If anyone knows of a good mechanic that I can pay to do it in the mid-TN area, between Nashville& Knoxville, please let me know. I posted a thread in the TN forum with no response.
