I currently and have always used Endless SS-Y. Good pads, no noise and low brake dust and excellent bite!

Awesome. See thats what really suprises me. Ive heard alot of raves about Endless pads, but they almost appear non-existant on EvoM.

I'm not really sure but I know I broke it in wrong. LOL. The shop that sold it to me said I didn't need to bed it. It squeals for me when I have too much steering angle while breaking. Its been getting worse with pad wear. But on other cars its been perfect.

Each pad can have different manufacturer's specifications for proper bed in procedures. It is best to follow the instructions that come with the pads.
"Typical" brakes are bedded in by making a series of braking passes to get the pads and the rotor heated up and enable a small amount of pad material to get transferred to the rotor, get the pads and the rotors matched to each other, and heat treat the pads (assuming that they are not sintered from the factory). The key is to not come to a complete stop while doing these passes and to let the brakes cool off after them before stopping. That said there are some pads that come with a top layer of bedding compound on the brake pads that bed themselves as you use the brakes for the first so many miles with normal braking...

Hey sorry I'm slacking on updating that file Derek. I have not had a chance to work on it. Later.

Hi, I too just installed Hawk pads and see nothing wrong with it.
What are other people's complaint with them?

They have no bite and glaze quickly. They are "ok" for street use, but any track use they are garbage.

Gyrodisc magicpads are ok for street use. Do not even attempt to use them at a track though. They are super cheap pads. Definitely worth the money if all you do is DD.

So it looks like the Endless SS-Y's are the ones to get.

I need to update my post on the PFC Z's. As the temperature gets colder these things are squealing more. If you want zero squeal, these are not the pads.

I would not recommend the MagicPads for the Evos. Been running them for about a year, they don't stop very well and dust alot. I've had other evo owner drive my car and try stopping with these pads and all agree they suck for a lack of a better word.
