Hello, just picked up a 2005 and on the rear fender above the tires the paint is bubbling from some rust developing. The car has a 7 year 100K warranty on the sheetmetal. The car only has 50K on it. I was wondering if other people have had this issue and dealt with it through the dealership under warranty? I plan to take the car to the dealership and have it looked at but want to get some opinions here first from people that may have had this issue so I got some ammo in my back pocket.

On a side note, I went through this same problem with a GM vehicle and GM ended up doing 7 G's in body work to fix the truck. Hassle...but they did it.

let me know when you find out lol, I got some rust under my hood because previous owner was from boston

 

all mine was fixed under warrenty.. provided there was never an accident there...

if they start working and find out there was body work there.. they will stop, and bill you 7 ways from sunday.
