hey 2 weeks ago my friend just picked up a 2005 TB Evo 8 w/ 76k miles on it... we hooked up some basic bolt ons and he ordered a mail in flash... yesterday the flash arrived in the mail, so we hooked it up and we took the car out for a bit and it felt great... awesome work on the tune! the car pulls pretty hard @ 24lbs tapering to 21-22 by redline... on the way back home we heard a bang, like a massive backfire, and immediately noticed something was wrong... the car feels sluggish now and once the car hits around 4500rpm, its starts to stutter really bad, and starts losing power...

so today we took the car to the dyno and this is what is shows: (pic on bottom)

i checked plugs, gap, coils, etc. and everything seems to look ok... he is running very rich, has some black smoke coming out the exhaust when he trys to get on it.

I dont know much about this car... but something similar happen to me when I had my vw vr6 turbo.... and it was the flowmeter or ecu....

 

the ecu just came back with a mail in tune... im pretty sure something else went on the car because it was running perfect until it backfired bad... im going to check the IC pipes and MAF again...
