I'm 19 and and have two mid/low 12 second cars and I'm defintely ready for a mid/low 11 second car, my dad as a car capable of lower 11s@128+ and its defintely a monster but I can handle it, I've also driven a car thats capable of low 10s on DOT approved tires and that thing is just ****ing bonkers, downright insanely fast.

17 when i got the 1G... that thing got fast... I had respect for it, because I was the one who took it from stock... being around for the build up helps... the people who buy one pre-built are those that are really the "risky population"... don't get me wrong... i did some stuff in it i look back at now and would definitely not do.

Yeah, lol i'm right here with you. When i was 14 i seen the car on some website. (Not Fast and the Furious) lol. I worked as much as could and saved as much as i could to get the Evo 8 when i turned 17. Now i am 18 and still own my first car which is the evo! My parents didn't help one penny. I do all my own work because i wouldn't be able to afford anything then.
