As for the best mods for the money, definitely a good functioning E-85 system is the best IMO. It is cost effective, produces great power, and fun to drive for sure. It all depends on availability for your area.
What he said. Anytime you start changing parts under the hood, its always smart to get a tune.

Damn, so much fail in here. (Bad advise)

1. Find a reputable tuner/shop near you.
2. Get a tune using OpenECU (it's free and also, this is your best mod)
3. Read about your car, there is tons to learn. Just read.
4. Get a Tactrix cable, buy Evo Scan, learn how to data log, etc. (lots of good threads here on EvoM)

5. IF you need more power, look into E85 availability in your area, E85 will require roughly 30% more fuel, so you will need a Walbro 255 and some injectors in the 1000cc size range along with a tune. This should make you happy for quite some time, and by that time, you should have learned enough about your car to be able to make the next step on your own.

6. Enjoy!
