sickisst deal on an evo 8! need some advice.

I was driving around our neighborhood with my brother, and we noticed this 03 as evo 8 sitting in a garage with a for sale sign on it.
We asked the owner if he could tell us about his car, and it was perfect!
2003 lancer evolution V///
34,000 miles (about)
about 310 hp ( which is close to stock!)
a wing with messed up carbon fiber, which we can fix.
Vortex genereator
stock interior/exterior
jdm heads and tails.
a scratch on the gas tank which we can also fix.
and some other goodies!
The man is asking 10k given to him in installments, and will be willing to give us his turbo xs fmic from his evo 9 and some help with the re build that we were thinking about doing.

Does this sound like a good deal? I honestly wouldn't know because my parents bought my evo for me.

plus no one in the right state of mind would sell an EVO in installments !!!!!

Right here. Sounds very scammish in price. The guy is either rich and doesn't care or he's retarded otherwise.

Yea, it kinda does. OP, before doing anything run the VIN. Then take the car to an Evo-specific shop and have it checked out. The $10K in installments can easily turn into a hell of a lot more before you even get to put 100 miles on the thing. Good luck.
