hello from colorado! new to evos
Hello from colorado, first post.
For a while I have been toying with the idea of selling my charger r/t for a daily driver and a C6 corvette. While doable, it is not very practical.
I have always liked the looks and performance of evos, especially the new models. I have never driven one however, and will not drive a manual.
I think I am going to go to a dealer and take a evo x se out for a test. I know it is gonna be faster than me high 5s charger hemi, handle better etc. I want something that is fast, fun, reliable, very reliable, fast, hanles denver snow.
What do you guys think?

u get all that with awd turbo, which imo is amazing. i came from an 06 type s so my evo x was a major improvement... slap on some winter tires on the stock rims and just get a diff set of wheels and tires for the dryer seasons and youll have fun all year long...and why not a manual? it makes driving a lot more satisfying and is really easy to learn..
Thanks for the quick response! Regarding the standard transmission, I do not know how to drive with it. I know some of you all will gasp at the though of an automatic shifter, but if used that on several cars including my fathers corvette and enjoy it much.
Did you buy your evo x new? How has it been in terms of reliability, just regular maintenance?
The warranty I see is 5 year 60k. Would this car last me well past that time?

it really shouldnt take you more than a week to have it down with no problems, but thats your choice, youre the one thats gonna be driving it everyday so get what makes u happy and comfortable..
and yea i did buy it new and it hasnt given me any problems yet, hit the 10k mark about a week ago and ive had the car since march. a test drive would be in your best interest to really see if its for you. gl
