I have an aftermarket undertray (I belive it is a Beatrush) and I was curious if installing this was only for track events or could it be used for daily use? It is a large piece that would provide some decent protection but I just want to be sure.

 

 

Plenty of people use them on their daily drivers; the metal panel provides great winter protection.

 

The undertray isn't there for protection. It's there for aerodynamics.

The EVO IX comes with an undertray stock. That should tell you something about day to day use.

 

Protection is a great benefit though which is important in the northern climates. Without a tray the oil filter and crank pulley are exposed to a good ice chunk bashing.

Ok cool, thanks guys. I got it with the car and its still in plastic wrap. I was just going to use it when I go autoX. I'll throw it on this weekend
