Yeah I will need to invest in both the driver and passenger front splash shields.

Let me know how it turns out ordering from them...or if anyone knows the part numbers or a better place to get the shields (OEM or not) please let us all know!

Thanks!

Edit: Like everything else, they are on Mitsubishiparts.net if you enter your exact year and model. Priced around $90 before shipping for the respective sides. Includes all the mounting hardware too. Just thought I would let everyone know...they have them if all else fails.

that picture from car part auto looks like it could be it due to the louvers but I'm not comparing it to the one on my car... let us know if it fits because that is a good price.

If you don't have the fender liner it can definitely cause some major issues, a lot of wiring runs through the fender wells.
Well I wouldnt say it contributes nothing since both cars have a wire harness running in the well. Yes its not an evo but I still have an unshielded harness with no issues. If there are no open wires or connectors it should be fine unless your car is super low and then it could rub hitting a large bump.

I wouldnt go without them, especially if you drive in the rain. To much to risk with the headache of electrical issue than can come.

Update on the order, I finally got them on the car few days ago. Due to the wide fender, I was only able to put whatever clips I could on them. So far, it's been good. The fitment is really good. I would recommended the products from carpartswholesale.com.

Oh I forgot to mention that after taking off the wheels. I found out that the car doesn't have left and right shields where transmission is. LOL Now I have to order that from somewhere else because I could not find them on carpartswholesale.

Forget electrical issues, who cares about that. Wires are easy to fix, a hole in your frame isn't. Remember, big sticky tires sling rocks, constantly. Without a fender well shield your frame and fender are being bead blasted with rocks constantly which will eventually wear through your paint, and then expose the bare metal, which will corrode and end up as a gigantic hole in your frame, which is no fun at all. Seen it happen a million times...especially on DSM's...If this is a track only machine that is constantly garaged then obviously don't use the shields. If it sees street use, and sees SALT, definitely use the shields!but if you don't mind rewelding your frame back together or using lots of bondo then go for it.

Instead of buying from that warehouse why don't you use lancershop.com? I ordered both of mine which are OEM for $120 shipped with new hardware and they were here within a week.

Ive driven without them for a while now. No issues at all. I would like to get them replaced and in there at some point...just not on the top of my list to do currently.
