ok i was talking to a guy at the car wash that i go to the other day about my lancer and he said that you could take the drum brakes off the back and replace them with the disc brakes from a ford focus. i trust what this guy had to tell me because he is a big custom designer that i happened to run into. what do you think is it possible or has anyone tryed it?

To tell you the truth, I don't see why it can't be done. Honestly I see people put in rear disc conversions all the time <cough>Civics</cough>. So I think it shouldn't be a problem, just make sure you got the right people to do it. Which pisses me off a little because when I see a Mazda Protege pull up with rear discs stock....I'm like wut the hell, Proteges got it, and Lancers are comparable in looks, how come Mitsu just didn't do it~! Oh well

 

there are threads about this..... search for "rear disc conversion" or something like that. in fact, i'm pretty sure that they sell a kit to convert the drums to disc brakes

 

they do... rpw makes em.. what really even makes me more mad is that those f'n crappy slow SE-R V-SPEC Sentra's have a FACTORY BREMBO UPGRADE... wtf.. ill spank those freakin cars... pos's i hate them!!!
