greetings! soon to be new evo owner from WA
greetings all,
i've been on the forums for awhile now just browsing, but i wanted to finally introduce myself. name is tony, recently relocated from san diego, ca to seattle, wa. i love cars, both import and domestic, but i'm biased towards imports of course
i used to own a 2002 wrx, which was my pride and joy for awhile - pushed about 320whp on the stock block, bolt on everything, alky injected. it was fun while it lasted, but it got boring after awhile so i sold it.
that's when i started looking at dsm's, not particularly the evo. so i bought a 91 galant vr4, and built her with a stage 2 slowboy block, fp red, etc. still a project car, but i'm not sure if i'm going to keep her.
i stumbled upon a local craigslist ad advertising this evo, and so i called the owner and put down an offer. offer was accepted, and i'm about to pick the car up in a week. it is a used evo 8 with a full built 2.4, currently running about 500+whp. i'm definitely going to baby it for awhile until i get used to such a high hp car. the evo is going to be a weekend warrior with the occasional road race/autocross/drag since I have a track near my house.
anyways, i'll post pics up soon and i look forward to being part of the "dark side"
the ol' scooby (wrx):

the project (vr4):

the DD (eg hatch fully built b18 LSVTEC N/A)

the new whip (evo): coming soon!

yeah, the evo i'm buying is in portland right now. owned by a really good guy on here. in the interest of privacy though, i won't disclose him name unless he wants to chime in. ets has done a lot of work to the car.

i'm sure i'll run into some nice evo owners. it's weird, but back in california, most of the subaru owners i knew were pretty nice. out here, they seem to be on the young side and, dare i say it, ricers.

hurry up, at least a pic of the VR4
