From EBC to MBC...
Hey guys, I currently have the Greddy Prospec boost controller in my car, I want to know if I switch it out to the manual boost controller, is there anything I should be aware of? Does the car still run the same? It's the first time i'm doing something like this and I'm getting a tune in like a week or 2. Thanks.
if you dont have a way to monitor boost (boost gauge or simmiliar) then I would reccomend seriously neutering your car by turning the boost waaaaayyyyyyyy down on the MBC. This will prevent you from running way to much boost and breaking something, and be painfully slow, all at the same time! Just like driving a base lancer.
When they tune it they will dial the boost in to where it needs to be.

Thank you for the replies guys. Yes, I do have the boost gauge but I think it's best I should swap them the day before I get a tune because there are alot of old ppl here where I live and I don't want to over boost just to past them.
Sorry I was sitting at a restaurant waiting for my food to be ready. The mobile forums don't show user locations
and I didn't mean to sound like I was yelling "use the search button!!" Just saying where I heard it from.
Anyways, are you going with a mbc because of cost? I was going to ditch my prospec (yeah I got the same one) for a AEM tru boost. Little on the spendy side but I just hear good things about it.
