Yeah I think i saw yours or someone elses photo of it = ) I would love to have a new 0 mileage white MR evo, but I can't afford 50K. I saw on Sam's thread that they were sale for 36K. So I got excited, now they are 50K all the sudden. Bummer! I can afford low 30's for a new one, or mid 20's for a low mileage used one. Either way, maybe that investment will pay off for socal. Looks like they sold two already at the $50K mark.

Yeah, more than likely those were my pictures, as I haven't seen anyone else post any.
But you are right, originally Sam had listed them at the exact MSRP with no haggle room (as opposed to the forum prices they used to offer back in the day--should've bought them when you had the chance!), and even then, people were trying to bargain. Now they increased the asking price, and people are begging for MSRP.
Your best bet would be to just find a good condition one.

Yeah if Sam reads this thread (I will buy one at MSRP today!) I have the finances worked. However, I cannot buy a $36K car for $50K. = ( If I was a graduated ME 4 years ago, I would have bought one brand new then!
Oh well, hopefully Mitsu will redesign the Evo 12 or 13 (haha) the right way and I can buy one of those. No offense to any evo X owners out there, just not my cup of Tea.

It's unlikely. I think even Noize (moderator here) stopped by during a recent visit to California (as he had been asking me about the car since I live 3 miles from the dealership) and he didn't come back with an Evo.

wow! It kinda makes me angry that they changed their prices from 36K to 50K overnight = (
But at the end of the day, they are SoCal mitsu's cars so they make the prices. Maybe Noize flew over that night haha

You can blame their customer(s) from the Middle East who bought the other two Evos and pretty much raised the bar. So unless you just really want this car and have the cash for it (as very few banks would allow you to finance such an amount since the car brand new was only X amount, and while it's still technically new, it is already a five year-old car so it's value is down a bit), then you'd be better off finding a better deal on a used IX (taking the risks that come with it) or getting a new X (which you said you didn't want to do). It sucks, but they get to call the shots in this scenario. Wouldn't you, if you were the dealership and had the last few brand new IXs?

I completely agree. Classic supply and demand scenerio here.
I wish i had a time machine to go back to 2006 = /
If you think of the scenerio form their end, thay have been sitting on roughly $130K of investment for the past 4 years. They gotta get some sort of return and I understand that. Just sucks to see the price jump over night = (

But it didn't really jump to $50k over night. I remember there being a decent amount of time between when they said they had these cars for sale and when they bumped up the price. People had time, they were just being cheap asses.

there long gone!
