would removing the catalytic converter from a 2009 ralliart be bad and what could it do to the performance of the car?

 

Will you be removing it from your car or is this some elaborate vandelism scheme?

You need it to legally have your car on the road.

Removing it, say for track day will free up some horsepower and make it louder.. it will also cause more pollution but better fuel mileage.

 

Lots of people here run testpipes instead of cats. Do you have a tuning device to support it and disable the CEL though?

 

i was just goimg to hav it removed because there is no state inspections or emissions in OKLAHOMA

 

I have a high flow CAT in my Evo as a compromise between performance and helping the planet. But a test pipe is what you need.

 

Yeah I removed mine for the same reason but put my hfc back on after I was getting comments from the coffee stand girls about how my car stinks. I'm sure during the summer months, people will run their AC and not want to be behind you.
