Notchy... Help
Hey so i know the evo gears are usually pretty notchy but mine seem to be a little worse. i drive in my friends evos and none seem this bad. the only time i feel it is really bad is when im shifting into second its almost like the gear is grinding no matter how far and long i hold the clutch before putting it in gear. i do have underhood and base bushings for my shifter but what could be causing my problem?
when was the last time you had the fluids changed? If you actually feel it grinding then i doubt the bushings would be the reason. Does it do it all the time or just when you first drive the car? Could be the ridicoulously cold weather that we have in the northeast right now.
try the redline MT-90 fluids and that should help. It help alot on my tranny, had similar issue with my 2nd gear, and now its alot sommther. gl!

3qrts if u have a 5spd. make sure the car is leveld when u fill up the tranny. Fill it up untill the new fluids comes out of the filling hole. I believe it should take around 2.8qrts. check ur service manual, it should have the exact amount.
You may want to get one of those $10 fluid pump do-dads. The fill hole is at an awkward spot for a funnel.
