About to purchase an evo BUT..

so im about to take a closer look at an 05 gsr. Extremely interested due to it already having an ACT clutch, shep built transmission and built TC. Three solid drivetrain upgrades that (should) promise longevity.

couple problems though, hopefully they are minor.

first, there is a CEL. It is said to be from ecuflash and an 02 sensor? Sensor was replaced due to having too low voltage, and now being replaced, has too high voltage? does this make sense? would a wideband correct this?

second, the ABS light is on, said to be from ecuflash again...

third, the transmission needs to be warmed up to shift properly. something about fluid registering as overfilled on cold start up, but after being warmed up its fine?

sorry for having no effing clue about these. any input is appreciated!

About the tranny, Any COLD Manuel transmission will take a little "extra" effort to shift until it gets to the proper operating temperature. That's normal

The ABS light might be on bc a ABS sensor is not responding.

Just a thought. Best of luck to you

thanks for your input!

the seller did say it was very minor, he just sounds overly honest...

if I use evoscan, would it tell me which sensor is out?

I'm not sure if evoscan will show you that. I know it does alot of things but personally I have never used it, (plan on it very soon though) But a scan tool with the "ABS" selection will definitely show you. A local parts store might be able to help you out or the local mitsu dealer of course if you have one local.
