I just wanted to say,

That you guys on this forum are unbelievably helpful and motivating. I recently bought a white, 05 srt-4 with 46,000 miles on it and so i decided to check out the SRT forums to answer some of my questions about the car, and about mods and what not. I noticed a huge difference in the forum communitys between here and there. Every question I ask there the answer is "don't even try" or "that's ridiculous" as opposed to you guys who are always asking for pictures and for someone to try something new. I guess that just goes to show i should have bought an evo!

I agree this forums is indeed helpfull. Its the reason why I bought an Evo instead of Subbie.

It probably has a lot to do with the age of people in general who could afford Evo's over SRT-4s. Lots of engineers here doing really cool things and sharing that work. Just look at how far ECUFlash has come. 1000+ hp on stock ECU, thats bad ***.

Also helps that the platform itself is so capable with so little. Makes it easier to get things figured out and get the knowledge out to the community.

I feel like I'm talking to a bunch of idiots on that forum, and on here, not even close.

Lol, I definately agree with the croud of people who would buy an SRT vs an Evo are fairly different. I would also say the experience here is much more since an evo is not a typical starter car for most and definately requires a certain knowledge level.

my bro is in the air force and bought an srt4 cause, i have to admit, in blue? they look soooo sick. he went to the srt forums and every body said his 100k mile car was gonna explode and he was basically screwed! i did a little more research and stumbled upon this jewel of a forum. this has been the most helpful! i have had my evo for 3 months now and absofreakinglutely love the thing. the guys on this thread have been very open minded and definitely helpful. theyre also very understanding that everone starts somewhere. i love the "newbie" forums and "how to mod your evo" definitely save me countless hours of blood sweat and HARD earned cash money. love this website and love my evo!!!

Just an example of something I had asked on the srt forums... A friend of mine with a turbo cobalt ss, is doing a brake upgrade, and getting rid of the brembos for something like, a hundred bucks. so I told him I'd take them and see what I could do with them on my car. I put a topic up and all that, I get a moderator saying, big brakes has nothing to do with performance, and another guy say, change your tie rod ends.... WHAT?

??? Weird. You'll get some un-informed responses here but the guys who know are pretty quick to come in a squash that.

i agree its almost scary how helpful everyone is here. coming from the my350z forum i was there for almost 4 - 5 years and made about 30 posts. mainly buying parts. but here i feel like i could post up an idea and get ACTUAL feedback on it and not "your stupid, good it, search it, or just laughes and hate."

but i will give them this they are far far more organized and crafty. the diy section is huge.
