IX MR antenna question

Hey everyone. Today at the carwash my shorty antenna broke off of my ix mr (with vortex generator). There is still a big metal piece sticking out of the antenna hole in the VG, but the carbon fiber part of the antenna is gone. Can this be removed easily or will I have to take the VG off? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Can you not unscrew it? Put on some gloves or grab some pliers and grab a can of elbow grease and give it a twist. Remember rightie tightie, leftie loosie. Good luck

Hey thanks Mnauelg....I know it was a noobish thing but I just got the car and wanted to make sure I was not going to do any damage by trying to unscrew the piece sticking out. Just used a rubber jar opener and some plyers and it came right off.

Thanks for your reply!
