Hey, how's everyone doing? Name is Sam and I'm new to the forums. I currently own a 2001 Lexus IS300 (Eibach springs, Tokico shocks, D/S rotors, HKS Dragger exhaust).

That aside though, I'm in love with Evo's. I think it's been about 8 to 10 years since I started liking them. It's my second year owning the IS300 and it is a great car but it's not fast and it sucks in the winter.

I finally decided I would like to get an Evo VIII or IX. I don't want to make payments on the car so I won't looking into buying one for another couple months when I have some cash saved up but I would like to learn more about the car.

Any information, thread links, pictures of yours, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I have one question: is the MR model worth the extra cash? Couldn't find a thread on here about it.

it depemds on what you decide to do with the mr? autoX, and a better dd. id say do the mr anyway, you dont get a sunroof but you will love the 6 speed and with shep coming out with the new one im excited to see how some people like it. you'll get the 10.5 hotside witch is a upgrade as well as bbs rims (i love them dipped in black chrome)but to each its own. just be on this site 24/7 researching until you find your gal
