Lift points for the EVO

I have a 2 ton jack that I am using, and I am wondering what the standard lift points are for the car. I went under the front and found that it's a plastic shield. Do I have to remove that to get to the lift point? Or is there something obvious that I am missing? Thanks!

Depends on what yo're trying to do. On the passenger side front bottom of the bumper, you will find a cover with two plastic push tabs. Remove that and you will expose the tow hook.

I am looking to do an oil change on the car. I did them on my previous cars, but they had a hole in the plastic cover which was their lift point. I didn't see something like that on the Evo.

its not nesassary to lift the car that high. lift it by the passenger door where you would put the stock jack is sufficient. Oil change on Evo is easy.

The picture from that thread clearly shows a front jack point. Do I have to take off the skirt to access that front lift point, or am I supposed to put the jack on that skirt? It doesn't seem right to me to put a jack on a skirt to lift the car. No one in that thread seemed to be happy with any of the lift points.

Thanks for the input. I did spot the oil filter and drain plug when I was looking at the car. Do you go ahead and take off that wheel, since it might make access to those pieces easier? Or do you just go ahead and do it without taking the wheel off?

Sorry about the dumb questions... just trying to figure out tips and tricks for this car before I go to work on it. THANKS!
