Yesterday my car seems to be acting up a bit and then later today it threw a CEL (No longer my DD, just took it out the last few days to feel the boost). The code P0401. You guessed it the vac hose popped off the EGR. I cleared the code, put the hose back on and all is good. Though I will likely take the EGR off and clean it as recommended.

My question is why would this hose pop off? I cannot find this answer in the threads I have searched. If there is a root cause I would like to know. It seems to be a pretty common occurrence and thanks to evolutionm I found the problem very quickly. However, there has to be a good reason for this to happen since I have not worked in that area off the car.

My current mods are
TBE 80mm (no cat)
Injen intake with UICP and LICP
Walbro 255
AMS 3.5 FMIC
AMS MBC (20 psi)
IX BOV
