Great opportunity...

I know I'm going to get biased opinions and that's ok I have a 2004 Dodge Ram that I love BUT I have a great opportunity to get an Evo. Unfortunately I can't have both so I need some help.

I live in an area that gets quite a bit of snow. My Dodge has a 4" lift 35" tires and is amazing in the snow. But most of all it's very safe. I have a 4 month old son and his safety is more important to me than anything so I'm asking two things from the Evo experts here.

1. How reliable are they in the snow? (the one I'm looking at is a 2005)
2. How safe are they?

Like I said the Evo is a 2005 with minimal aftermarket parts. The thing that really stands out to me is it only has 26k miles on it and I know I would pay no more than $18k for it but probably closer to 16-17. Thanks for any replies...
