Hello, I am New and Desperately Want an Evo

Hey All,

Been reading the forums here for a long time and I am finally in a position to get an Evo so I figured I better start posting and contributing.

I live in the Seattle area and have wanted an Evo for the past four years but was in college or in debt or both most of the time. I finally have a job and things in order so I figure what better way to celebrate than buy an Evo!

I have never actually driven an evo but I am planning to start test driving soon. I know I will love one, just a gut feeling I have. Been looking at getting an 06 MR, SE, or SSL, leaning towards an MR SE even though the ones I have been seeing are in the $25k region.

Anyways, I look forward to talking with y'all and contributing to the boards.

Welcome. Not sure what your plans are for the car but if you plan on drag racing the 6 spd is weak.

25 sounds way too high. 20 is more in the ballpark for Evo 9s, and you can pick up a clean MR for around that price:

I would show these listings to the local dealer, and let them know that you are ready to make a deal at around 20K, but if they don't budge, plan on a road trip.

Yeah, would definitely like to pick one up for around 20k. I feel like these IXs really hold their value. I am seeing low mileage Xs cheaper than IXs now.
