Is there anything I should look out for when buying a used tactrix cable?
-How can you tell which model it is?
-Should I bring a laptop with evoscan/ecuflash already on it and try to hook it up?

Just don't want to buy one that doesn't work

 

that person selling it should know what version it is....if he doesnt then i would think twice about buying it. If you can, bring laptop and your car to see if it works. Probably smart to bring a friend or two just incase the guy is "shady".

 

I would definitely reccomend bringing a laptop. A guy I know had one that would have trouble making connection, and sometimes lose connection randomly during tuning. That would cause a serious problem if it cuts out while flashing.
